Installation Guidelines
Before installation, ensure the subfloor is clean, smooth, dry, and free from grease or debris. If surface preparation is needed, consult the adhesive manufacturer for guidance on suitable primers and levelling compounds. All fitting should follow the British Standard Code of Practice BS5325 and be carried out by trained professionals.

Apply a surface tackifier using a roller or notched trowel, following the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions. Allow the adhesive to dry until it forms a clear, tacky film.

Roll out the Springbond FR underlay with the printed side facing up. Align seams closely together, ensuring they run at a 90-degree angle to the carpet seams.

Secure underlay joints with Texfelt Joining Tape or an approved underlay joining tape.

Apply the chosen adhesive using a notched trowel, following the manufacturer’s recommended method.
